Bay Area Writing Project-Youth Camps

I plan on sitting in on one of the Writing Projects youth camp courses. This particular camp offers a rang of courses for a range of ages and grades, but is not limited to the following  grades: 3-9, 9-12, and 11&12. There are young writers camps, teen camps, and a course on the “Personal Statement.” It would be interesting to see the process they present to their students, especially in regards to the personal statement. I am adding this resource to my collection, because it provides writing services to students of various grades. By attending one of the listed camps, in the future, will help expand my content knowledge in relation to the writing process.

The Bay Area Writing Project is a project that offers writing courses and workshops to help teachers, pre-service teachers, after school program leaders, and even students in grades 4-9. They offer a range of services, summer camps, courses, and even professional development. I am choosing to add this resource to my collection because it not only reaches out to students but teachers as well and it would be interesting to see how this particular writing project presents, views and uses the writing process.
